Abstract

This study discusses the role of information technology in the process of simplifying the work procedures at the Higher Institute of Science and Technology in AL-Zawia city. The problem of the study was identified in the lack of ability of employees to use information technology in the correct scientific meaning in performing the various tasks and jobs within the Institute,, due to the conviction and tendency of most of its employees to follow traditional methods of work, and rely on the blogging and manual documentation of all procedures, and documents used in the work.
This study also derives its importance from the importance of the use of information technology in the higher technical Institutions, and the usefulness of its use in simplifying the work procedures, and reducing the pressures that could face its users.
The researcher used the descriptive and quantitative analysis in the study of the phenomenon by using a questionnaire that was distributed among the research community from as the main tool for collecting the data. After subjected the data obtained to the statistical analysis to test the hypotheses that were formulated, a number of important results were reached
