Abstract

The study of robes and clothing is one of the most important real components of civilization in general. It is an important document that expresses art honestly. It is also one of the factors that show the extent of the civilizational progress of peoples. Studying this type of art provides more factors, conditions and influences that lead to the development of these costumes. Clothing also differed from class to class according to the social position that the individual occupies in society. The lower classes were denied the enjoyment of these costumes, and their clothes were simple.

Clothing in general did not receive studies in the Arabic language except from a few translated books, in contrast to the abundant foreign studies in this field. For this, the research aims to identify women's clothing in the Cyrenaica region from the early classical era until the Hellenistic era through the art of sculpture. Therefore, the research is exposed to the knowledge of women's clothing and its parts during that period.
