Abstract

This study aims to identify the requirements for employing information and communication technologies in university education in the field of libraries and information in Libyan universities and academies. In its electronic form as a main tool for collecting its data and including its main axes and distributing it to its sample through Google Forms, and using the descriptive approach to analyze its results, Among its most important results: There are no statistically significant differences between most of the requirements for employing information technologies (administrative and financial requirements, scientific requirements, legal requirements), and there is a significant correlation between each study requirement and the total sum of these requirements at a significant level = 0.01. It recommends that the university allocate from its budgets a financial value that it employs for modern educational technologies and grants it to the departments of its faculties according to the characteristics of its courses whose teaching requires the use of these technologies, and that it encourages and supports the scientific affairs and quality departments in the faculties in their reports regarding the scientific departments regarding equipping them with their required technologies, and ensures the development of a plan for their recruitment process, and policies that ensure investment and continuous development.
