Abstract

 The study aimed to identify the requirements for achieving national reconciliation in the Libyan society, as well as to identify the role of the Libyan tribes in national reconciliation. The study used the descriptive approach to reveal the nature of the study variables. Males were selected using the purposive sampling method. The study found a number of requirements in order to achieve national reconciliation, including: Disarmament of armed groups is considered the basic step to achieve national reconciliation. Justice must be achieved among all Libyans. The tribe must be involved in the national reconciliation process, as it plays an important role in achieving it. The proliferation of weapons, the struggle for power, and the political division are the most difficult obstacles that stand in the way of national reconciliation. Spreading, supporting and expanding national values ​​such as belonging to the homeland instead of party affiliation. Spreading and supporting a culture of dialogue. Encouraging and stimulating national reconciliation between the conflicting parties.
